It is purely something special when you have never met someone, yet you feel as though you have known them for years. Especially when it is on their wedding day, and they treat you like you are one of their guests, and a friend that was part of their special day.
That is how I felt with Heather, Finn, and everyone involved with their day. The vendors involved were all amazing, and I know for a fact that they were fully there and committed with their hearts to this wedding day. If it weren’t for two of my best friends, Megan and Vincenzo of Clover Food Lab, I would not have had to honor of photographing this wedding. So thanks you guys for “hooking me up” with them!! 😉
The day started the Hotel Indigo for some awesome getting ready/getting to know the bride and groom. I was welcomed with awesome hugs and kisses on the cheek, and warm handshakes and smiles from the entire family and wedding party.
We headed to the Gore Place Estate where the ceremony and reception would take place. I had visited the Estate earlier that day, when their historian gave me full on tour of the entire home. I’m obsessed with history and imagining myself living during that time, so it was super cool to see the Estate set up like it was the early 1800’s. I dreamt of the beautiful clothing that was worn there, the lavish dinners, the children playing outside, and the beautiful “getting ready” room where Rebecca Gore spent hours of her day. It reminded me of Downton Abbey. How amazing to not only see, but have the pleasure of shooting there.
The ceremony was followed but a super fun reception with bean bag toss, hilarious speeches, and a Clover Food truck parked outside that catered their dinner as well as late night snacks. Also- watch out world. Clover is about to take over. They are an amazing “fast food” company (with over 8 trucks around the Boston area) that utilizes only local and sustainable vegetarian foods. Everything about them is amazing from their branding, to their food, to their entire demeanor about changing the planet and the way people eat. I am so proud that two of my very closest friends are a part of that company.
Thank you so much to Roberto for second shooting, Mandi and Natalie from Whim Events for being an amazing vendor. It was an honor to work with all of you and I hope to again in the future!
