I AM SO EXCITED FOR BLAKE AND ANDY I COULD JUST ABOUT SCREAM! I WILL DIGITALLY SCREAM INSTEAD!!!
This wedding was very near and dear to my heart. Blake and I worked together over 10 years ago in what seems like so long ago it was another world. (Oh wait, Mackinac Island IS another world, haha) I was only 20 years old my first summer, and I remember looking up to Blake like a big sis and like the awesome bartender she was.
When she contacted me about doing her wedding in Florida I 1. freaked about how happy I was that she was getting married! and 2. Freaked out about someone I knew from so long ago contacting me to document their day. It really means the world to me that people are having me travel all over this world to be their photographer. I know I say it a lot, but words can’t describe how thankful and blessed I feel.
Blake and Andy had a very beautiful and sophisticated garden wedding on the Baytowne Wharf in the Sandestin Resort. Instead of starting the day with getting ready shots, we started with some beautiful portraits of Blake, a rest afterwards, and then the wedding later that evening. The weather was a little crazy that day, I think it was warmer in Oregon, but everything worked out perfectly. It only rained on our break so that was great news!
At their reception they had lots of VERY FUN friends, family, and co-workers, a beautiful dinner catered by Paradise Cuisine, and music by Geoff McBride from THE VOICE!!! (ahhh! I even watched that season, he is SO GOOD) Their beautiful flowers were by Blake’s Mother’s best friend, Joy Quinn. She traveled all the way from Alabama!
Big thank you to Christine Walker, the day of coordinator from RSVP Events. She was such a great person to work with and I am soooo sad that we don’t live in the same area!!!
Congrats to Blake and Andy! They are such a beautiful couple with so much love for each other. Wishing you the best life that I know you will have! Hopefully see you again for a Mackinac Reunion!!!
Enjoy these highlights of their day!
